Community Guidelines

We love playing games with our friends. That is and will continue to be the driving motivation for Chill-Servers. In order to further this philosophy, we've developed the community guidelines below.

These guidelines are built to be followed and breaking any of the rules or guidelines may result in punishment including, but not limited to kicks, mutes, and bans.

There are also server-specific rules listed in their respective section below, be sure to look through them to make sure you're aware of the rules.

With that said, let's get on to the guidelines.

Don't do anything illegal

We will take immediate action if you: violate any applicable laws or regulations, or promote or encourage any illegal activity including, but not limited to, hacking, sharing content related to minors that is sexually suggestive or violent, distributing viruses, or attempting to steal another user's account.

Respect Others

Do not discriminate against others for their race, religion, nationality, or sexuality. However, swearing is permitted to a degree. If individuals feel personally attacked, they can file a report.

Don't excessively spam or flood server text-chat or voice-chat rooms

Intentionally de-railing a discussion between other users by spamming multiple lines of garbage in chat or by screaming/ making a lot of noise on voice comms will surely get you muted or even banned.

Don't advertise

Reasonably linking others to interesting things you don't profit from is allowed. Linking to other game servers is also allowed. However, linking to other non-Chill-Servers related communities or web-services that you directly profit from is prohibited.

Don't harass others

This includes acts like belittling others and making personal attacks. Starting flame-wars and other ways to cause drama will lead to punishment.

Listen to the administration

If a staff member is trying to communicate with you, please listen to what they have to say. Also reciprication is expected. Don't ignore admins if they're trying to ask you for information.

Don't be an asshole

Attempting to bend the rules to benefit you or evading punishment will not be tolerated.

Server Rules

Sandbox Rules

Don't bother other players while they are working

Builders that are using Precision, E2, or other advanced tools need time to focus. Don't crash props into them or cause a scene by any other means.

Don't spam props, effects, lights, or explosives

Although the server is strong, spamming items in an attempt to crash the server will result in a swift, and strong punishment. Most dupes are not considered spamming. Overuse of lights and effects can degrade the framerate of other players on the server as well, be mindful of their use.

Don't attempt to crash the server

If you knowingly use an exploit or take advantage of a glitch to crash the server - not only will the server restart in under 5 minutes - but the event will be logged and you may be punished.

Don't abuse E2 devices

Expression 2 devices whose sole purpose is to troll other players will not be tolerated if those players are not interested in participating.

TTT Rules

Don't RDM

Random Deathmatch is a term used to denote when a player randomly kills other players without valid reasons or when someone is upset that they died, even for a legitimate reason. If you are to enguage in a deathmatch with another player, it should be motivated with at least one valid reason, even if it's just suspicion.

No Ghosting

TTT is a game built around lack of infomration, if you die and tell other living players valuable information, you will be investigated for ghosting. If you are using a different form of voice-communication than the built-in system in game, don't give away information after your death.

Don't make random callouts

Don't yell KOS (Kill On Sight) and a player's name without valid reason. In order to make a valid KOS callout, you must provide at least one quick reason in your callout.

Don't KOS solely based on playermodel

You may only KOS based on name. Playermodels can be changed and identities can be stolen. KOS callouts based on playermodel are not valid.

Only use valid playermodels

Since the server has Outfitter, anyone can apply any playermodel available on the workshop; however, please only use models that are humanoid/anthropomorphic with 4 limbs. Small playermodels with malformed hitboxes are not allowed. Players with small, invisible, or invalid playermodels will be warned and asked to change.

Detective's Orders are not recognized

If a detective orders you to do something, you have the opportunity to refuse without any real concequences. As a detective, you can ask other players to do things, but you are not allowed to kill them just because they deny your request.

Breaking a traitor tester is a traitorous activity

If a player at any time destroys a traitor tester, they can be assumed to be a traitor. Depending on the situation, there are not many concequences for damaging or killing a player that deactivates a traitor tester on any of the maps.

Claiming rooms is only allowed in Over-Time

You can only claim a room when the clock specifically denotes Over-Time. You may only claim a room that has very few enterenaces/exits. All other players must be aware that you've claimed a room. Failure to comply to the room claiming rules may result in punishment.

Don't kill AFK players as Innocent or Detective

Players that are AFK (Away From Keyboard) will automatically be moved into spectator-only mode after a short timer. There is no need to kill AFK players and risk being investigated for RDM.

Prop Hunt Rules

No Ghosting

Prop Hunt is a game based on hide-and-seek, if you tell other players on the opposite team where people are hiding, you will be investigated for ghosting. If you are using a different form of voice-communication than the built-in system in game, don't give away information that could ruin the game.

Don't use locations that Hunters can't reach

As a Prop, don't use locations that Hunters cannot possibly see, or reach. No illegal spots, do not leave the boundaries of the map.

Don't hide in locations where you are 100% invisible

As a Prop, you must be at least slightly visible from an angle where a hunter can be. When Props are completely invisible the gamemode starts to fall apart.

Don't abuse the 3rd-person camera

As a Prop, the 3rd-person camerea has the off-chance of showing you information through walls, please don't abuse this infomration.

Trash Compactor Rules

Shooting the Trash Man is allowed at all times

Even if they are peeking over the cliff from above, you cannot be punished for killing the Trash Man
